01How much does it actually cost?
It tracks your format. Fives or sixes are £5.99/month, sevens £6.99, elevens (plus four subs) £9.99. The captain pays the subscription, players never pay SQUAD a penny. First month free — three months for the first 100 captains.
02Who handles the player payments then?
You do. Players pay you direct via Monzo, bank transfer, Revolut, cash — whatever you tell them. The app tracks who has paid: each player taps I have paid in the app, the captain verifies with a tap. SQUAD never holds player money.
03What if a player cannot make it last minute?
Their RSVP rolls over. Missing the fastest-finger cut gives them a guaranteed slot for the next two weeks. The next person on the maybe list gets nudged automatically.
04Can I run a one-off game in a different format?
Yes. Any captain on any tier can spin up a one-off side fixture — a single game in any format — for £1, paid via Stripe. The roster and stats live separately from your main team.
05I run two teams. Do I pay twice?
First team full price, every team after that on the same captain account gets 30% off its tier. Applied automatically at billing.
06Will it spam my players?
No. One RSVP nudge 24 hours before kick-off, one final nudge for unpaid players the morning of. That is it.
07Can I run a women's team / mixed team / over-35s?
Yes. SQUAD has no opinion about who is playing. No gendered defaults, no age locks.
